In March, a group of supporters gathered at ARIA Restaurant to launch Odyssey House NSW’s Capital Campaign.
Hosted by long-time benefactor Bruce Solomon, the event united philanthropists, staff, and clients in a shared vision of transformation and hope.
NSW Premier Chris Minns attended as a keynote speaker, acknowledging Odyssey’s vital role in recovery services.

Following the NSW Drug Summit, he reinforced the need for greater support for the alcohol and other drugs sector. A powerful moment came from a re-entry client who bravely shared her journey – growing up in state care, experiencing homelessness at 15, and surviving domestic violence.
Her story powerfully illustrated the urgent need for safe, traumainformed recovery spaces. That’s exactly what our Capital Campaign aims to deliver.

Art and philanthropy
Supporters of the capital campaign will be recognised through a unique art installation featuring handmade tiles created by clients in recovery. Each tile has a matching partner, gifted to those who pledged support – a lasting symbol of connection and impact.
With $91,500 secured at the launch, we now need support to reach our total goal of $1.25million.
