Step 1: Select the type of gift and wording
Organising your will is one of the most important things that you will ever do. Your will protects your family and loved ones and ensures your estate is divided as you intended it.
The correct wording and type of gift is an important consideration and decision to make.

A percentage gift allows your contribution to remain proportional, regardless of any changes to your estate’s value.
“I give, devise, and bequeath ___% of my estate, free of all duties, to Odyssey House NSW (ABN 49 001 418 257) of registered office 13A Moonstone Place, Eagle Vale NSW 2558. I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge for my executor.”
After looking after your loved ones and covering any debts, you can gift the remainder of your estate to Odyssey House NSW.
“I give, devise, and bequeath the residue of my estate, free of all duties, to Odyssey House NSW (ABN 49 001 418 257) of registered office 13A Moonstone Place, Eagle Vale NSW 2558. I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other authorised officer shall be sufficient discharge for my executor.”
You can also choose to leave a portion of what remains of your estate after taking care of your loved ones and other commitments.

A specific gift allows you to leave a particular asset such as property, shares, jewellery, or artwork to support our work.
