Our Residential Centres
Live in a safe and structured environment while you address your needs and recover at your own pace, supported by staff and peers.
Our live-in residential centres provide a supportive space where you can begin your recovery journey in a structured environment. The Residential Program is delivered across two sites located in Eagle Vale and Ingleburn.
Our approach
From the moment you enter our Residential Program, you become part of a community committed to positive change.
We follow a therapeutic community model of care, where you will work together with staff and other residents to develop positive behaviours and attitudes essential for healthy living. Unlike traditional treatment programs, we integrate structured therapy sessions with everyday activities like cooking, house duties, exercise, and vocational training.
Your comprehensive support team may include alcohol and other drug workers, support workers, teachers, nurses, psychologists, social workers, case managers and welfare staff.
Ownership & responsibility
Contribute to daily living activities and the running of the centre, alongside staff and other residents.
Peer support
Receive guidance and peer support from other residents who are progressing through treatment with you.
Future-focused
Gain new skills and career support through Odyssey College, so you feel confident about returning home and navigating life after treatment.

Additional tailored support
We understand that everyone’s life situation and recovery journey is unique. That’s why all residents also have access to individually tailored programs within our overall Residential Program to support their long-term goals.
Family recovery centre
A purpose-built family friendly centre where you can continue to live with your children (0-12 years) during your recovery and develop skills to create a safe and healthy family. The centre is available to single parents (including single dads) and couples.
Parent programs
Residents who are parents but don’t have their children living with them in the family recovery centre can access our parenting programs including group support and, for some parents, case management. These programs provide practical parenting guidance in a safe and supportive peer group environment.
Mental health support
Attend mental health support groups during your stay to help you address mental health challenges and manage mental illness. Individual support with a counsellor/psychologist is also available.
Criminal justice support
Our residential centres support clients in contact with the criminal justice system including those supported by community corrections, those in the Magistrates Early Referral Into Treatment (MERIT) program and those on drug court through additional specialised case management, liaising with the courts, writing court reports and providing other supports as specifically required by the relevant programs.

Accommodation is dormitory style for males and females. If you are staying in our Family Recovery Centre, you will live in a private space with your children (under 12) and partner with shared communal and kitchen facilities.
We encourage visits from family and friends, as we know they are an essential part of your support network. Visits generally occur between 1- 5pm on Sundays, in line with your privileges, although this can be adjusted in line with particular needs, for example children’s visits. For the safety of our residents, all visitors must be registered prior to attending. Unexpected visitors are not allowed on the premises.
Your safety is our top priority. As you move through the program, privileges, including pass outs and weekend leave, will be earned and negotiated.
A therapeutic community empowers residents to take ownership of their recovery while also taking on shared responsibilities with staff and other residents. Â
In a therapeutic community residents and staff participate in the management and operation of the community, contributing to a psychologically and physically safe learning environment where positive change can occur.Â
The key element of a therapeutic community is the fact that your peers, the other residents in the program, who have had similar experiences to you, are also providing you with support.
The term detox may sound confronting; however, the purpose of Medically Assisted Detox is to safely manage withdrawal symptoms when you stop taking drugs or alcohol. It is the first step of residential recovery and a critical component of relapse prevention. The short stay in the Withdrawal Unit also provides an opportunity to discuss your needs and commence any medical supports you may require. Your withdrawal program will be developed in partnership with the doctor, who will also develop a medical care plan and will support you throughout your stay at the residential centre. Â
